Terms of Service

By using Stash ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the Service.

The Service is intended for users aged 16 or older.

Stash is an application for the personal saving of digital content. It allows you to save links, posts, web pages, images, and other content, and to find them using AI-powered semantic search.

The Service includes: saving content via iOS Share Extension, automatic extraction of metadata and text from web pages, generation of semantic embeddings for search, image OCR processing, and audio transcription.

The Service is provided "as is" and may be subject to modifications, updates, or temporary interruptions for maintenance.

To use the Service, you must create an account (email/password, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In). You are responsible for the security of your credentials.

Each person may create only one account. You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.

You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion results in the permanent erasure of all data within 30 days.

You retain full ownership of all content saved to Stash. By saving content, you grant Stash a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to store, process, index, and display such content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

This license terminates automatically upon deletion of the content or your account. We do not use user content to train artificial intelligence models or for any purpose other than providing the Service.

You represent that you have the right to save the content you upload to the Service. Stash is not responsible for copyright infringements related to content saved by users.

You agree not to use the Service to:

Save illegal, defamatory, obscene content, or content that infringes third-party rights; use bots, scripts, or automated tools for bulk content saving; reverse engineer, decompile, or analyze the application code or AI models; share your login credentials with third parties; circumvent subscription plan limitations; interfere with the operation of the Service or its systems.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or closure of your account.

Stash offers free features and paid plans (subscriptions). Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of the current period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Cancellation is done through the App Store settings.

Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store policies. For users in the European Union, the 14-day withdrawal right from the date of purchase applies, as provided by the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

Stash reserves the right to modify subscription prices with reasonable prior notice. Changes do not apply to the current billing period.

The Stash brand, application, source code, artificial intelligence models, and all related materials are the exclusive property of the Controller and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the application in accordance with these Terms.

Content extracted from third-party websites (metadata, text, images) remains the property of their respective owners. Stash stores it on your behalf as a personal bookmarking service.

The semantic search and content processing features are powered by artificial intelligence models. Search results are algorithmically generated and are not guaranteed to be complete or accurate.

AI processing (embedding generation, OCR, transcription) takes place entirely on our servers in Europe (Azure West Europe). No user content is sent to external AI providers for model training.

Stash does not perform automated decision-making with legal effects on users within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Controller's total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of EUR 50 and the total amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Controller is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or opportunities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the Controller's liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under European Union or Italian law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Before deletion, you may export your data via the export API.

The Controller reserves the right to suspend or close your account in the event of a violation of these Terms, with reasonable prior notice where possible.

Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, unless legal obligations require its retention.

These Terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the Service, the competent court is that of [CITTA], Italy.

For consumer users residing in the European Union, the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of residence apply where more favorable.

For out-of-court dispute resolution, users may use the European Union's ODR platform available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

The Controller reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Substantial changes will be communicated to users via in-app notification or email with at least 30 days' prior notice.

Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree, you may delete your account.
